WHAT is Assembly Bill A2563.
This Bill REQUIRES full family service restroom facilities in public buildings.
WHY should this Bill be passed into law?
Passing this Bill into law would guarantee people with #disabilities (not just individuals in a #wheelchair) with #accessibility and the ability to a basic human function of going to the bathroom when out ‘n about, as well as, providing the freedom to leave their home with confidence knowing there will be a #Family Restroom wherever they go; they are no longer a prisoner shackled to their home.
It is shameful to me that this Bill is now in it’s 3rd version! Meaning, it was originally introduced during the 2017-2018 Legislative Session as A7213, then again during the 2019-2020 Legislative Session as A2425.
